As you know, Jackson County RWD #1 purchases its water from the City of Topeka and Shawnee County Consolidated RWD #4. We have been informed by the City of Topeka their water rate for our district increases by 5% on January 1, 2016. Shawnee County Consolidated RWD #4 water rate will increase by .05% on January 1, 2016. Due to this increase, the Jackson County RWD #1 board of directors voted to increase the water rate for all customers by 3% effective April 1, 2016.
