As you know, Jackson County RWD #1 purchases its water from the City of Topeka and Shawnee County Consolidated RWD #4. We have been informed by the City of Topeka their water rate for our district increases by 6% on January 1, 2015. Shawnee County Consolidated RWD #4 water rate will increase by 3% on January 1, 2015. Due to this increase, the Jackson County RWD #1 Board of Directors will be reviewing our current water rates and make any changes they feel are appropriate.
The Jackson County RWD #1 board of directors voted to increase the monthly minimum for all customers by 4% and to increase the water rate for all customers by 2% effective April 1, 2015.
