New Board Member Introduced

Ken Hamilton was voted by the Jackson County RWD #1 board at the December 27, 2016 meeting to fill the unexpired term of Amy Klotz effective January 1, 2017. Amy decided to step down in order to have more time to attend her children's activities. Thank you Amy for serving on the board. We appreciate your service.

Line Improvements on 150th between S & T Roads

We will begin work the week of October 24, 2016 on a line improvement on 150th road between S and T roads. We will adding a 2" line in order improve water pressure in that area. If you live in this area you may experience water service interruption between 8 am and 5 pm while work is going on. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

New Water Rates Effective 4-1-2016

As you know, Jackson County RWD #1 purchases its water from the City of Topeka and Shawnee County Consolidated RWD #4. We have been informed by the City of Topeka their water rate for our district increases by 5% on January 1, 2016. Shawnee County Consolidated RWD #4 water rate will increase by .05% on January 1, 2016. Due to this increase, the Jackson County RWD #1 board of directors voted to increase the water rate for all customers by 3% effective April 1, 2016.
